So, I did it.....I resisted high speed Internet because of the high costs associated with it for years....with "bundling" I finally took the plunge this past January...and yesterday, we went wireless. I find it kind of ironic that this 100 year old farmhouse now has a Wii, a laptop, and 3 desktops all able to independently surf the Internet at the same time and I can talk on the phone too!
Think for a minute....the farmer who built this house lived in a mule barn for an unspecified period of time because his crops were the most important thing in his life; he brought his family over from England after he'd finally been able to build a one room structure to house them. As the years passed, with each good harvest, he built on another room, but for who knows how many years, the kitchen was outside the house and so was the bathroom; there was no electricity or indoor plumbing for another who knows how many years....and today, there is central heat and air; a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and dryer and five people surfing the Internet at the same time!
If these walls could talk...............
