One side effect of the Cypress Limb In The Power Line saga is an increase of the amount of sunlight we now get.

Not only are the gardens going to benefit but as I sit here in my little office, I benefit as well.....no artificial light needed! We are what you would call "treed in". The photos below were taken last January when the trees were without their dressing....

This is the most sunlight these rose bushes have had in four years.....I have high hopes for them now - they were going to be moved this winter, now there's some chance of their liking where they are.....

See how much sun actually makes it to the side of the house now? Maybe we'll actually have to pressure wash the mold and mildew away on this side a little less often....

And this is the sunlight on our newest garden - the one I've been working on all summer and just finished mulching....
